Much like the others Winamp provides a reasonable selection of changing colours when using the visualiser options for playing music but overall I still think I prefer WMP. Make sure that the amBX Application Manager is loaded and then launch Winamp and start playing some music. This should automatically add Winamp to the amBX Application Manager software list and like the others you can select different options for it from the drop-down menu. The video at the bottom of this page shows my Winamp and amBX kit on the “Dynamic” option.

Go back to Winamp and from the “View” menu at the top select “Visualisations” and this should show you the visualiser window and when you start playing music it will give you the normal visualiser effects that amBX needs. From this it should be pretty plain sailing, just choose the music you want to listen to, make sure the visualiser is selected and set to be used and the amBX kit should start your own personal disco.

amBX with Winamp
